To bliss or Not to Bliss
Ask most people what they want out of life and the answer is simple... To be HAPPY. Maybe its this expectation though, of wanting to be happy, that just keeps us from ever getting there.. Maybe the more we try and will ourselves to states of bliss the more confused we get... To the point where we don't recognize ourselves.. instead we just smile trying like hell to be the happy people we wished we were, until eventually it hits us, its been there all along.. not in our dreams or hopes but in the known the comfortable the familiar. - Grey's Anatomy.
I am sure that most of us are either familiar or have heard of "Greys Anatomy" which by the way is a very good show.. Tune in!
I don't recall what episode I got this from but I realized that at the end of the day we all want to be HAPPY. Sometimes we do try so hard that we fail to realize that we were already happy that we didn't have to change anything and that by changing we toyed with our happiness. Being happy is a state of mind it isn't something that we can define objectively. I guess this is where the famous saying "money won't buy you happiness" comes which is true for most (I think), I personally don't think that money would bring me happiness, but that's just me!
'
While we waste our time figuring out how to be happy or why are we unhappy we don't realize that we have been happy all along. What makes us happy is the familiar, our sense of comfort, our health our family and friends... But we have this notion that objects are the equivalent to happiness when in reality we know that they won't keep us happy for long..

Lifetime Movies: Breast Cancer Awareness
Yes I'm guilty! I love, love, love Lifetime Movies! I don't care what people say I always find an empowering lesson behind those movies. I decided to go to mylifetime.com today instead of studying (bad choice) as I was reading the descriptions of the the movie selections they had I came across "Why I Wore Lipstick to my Mastectomy" so I decided to watch, the description said that it was a true story of a 27-year old woman and her battle against cancer. Being that it is cancer awareness month what else could've I expected from Lifetime. So anyways I decided to watch.. And I would love for other women to watch this movie as well.
Sometimes we might think that we are invincible or that we are too young for something such as "breast cancer" or any type of cancer but reality is that cancer won't wait until you're ready most of the time it is unexpected. If this woman would've never felt those 3-lumps on her right breast the cancer would have gone undetected because her doctor also missed the lumps if she would've never brought it up to her doctor she could have been dead. It is important for us women to do self-routine check ups on our bodies and to know our bodies, no matter what age. We overlook a lot of stuff it could be fear or it can be us just not believing anything of this sort could happen to us but the reality is that we don't know and we can't prevent anything from happening.
Breast cancer is the most common cause of cancer-related deaths amongst women worldwide. With over 410,000 deaths a year. Breast cancer accounts for 14% of all women cancer related deaths a year and 1.6% of female deaths worldwide.
Lets stay informed, Ask your doctor, your friend, you momma.. it doesn't hurt to ask and it doesn't hurt to get a routine check up.
Stay informed!

Attitudes
“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes.” -Charles Swindoll
I came across this quote a couple of weeks ago and it captivated my eye. It made feel some sort of way. Maybe its just me but I wanted to share this quote because I realized that sometimes we look at things a certain way without realizing that we are being judgmental or that a certain attitude that we have towards anything can change the outcome. So maybe this quote can have an impact on someone else how it had one for me, I know that possessing a bitter attitude towards any situation isn't good and if the attitude we hold changes we might be able to achieve more or in certain situations make things better. Sometimes we are the problem, (our attitudes)..
I think it has a connection with leaving the past behind and focusing in the now, yes our past could have hurt us but why live or dwell with that pain? Shake it off and proceed!! Living by the moment has helped me see that I have wasted precious time dwelling in the past when its out of my power to change the past.. so I am doing things different so my present and my future won't be like my past, that's the only thing i can do.. And of course keeping a positive attitude that there is always better things to come :)
Fall = Fashion
The best time of year has arrived. I love the fall and I am more in love with the winter! I love boots, cozy's, cardigans, head berets, scarves, leggings, sweaters, pea coats! Getting dressed is much more simple when its cold than when its hot! I can always just throw a cozy some leggings or jeans on boots or uggs and im out the door!
Its the time to accessorize nice earring and bangles :) i love this time and as for hair this fall the side braid is going to be popular, so i might try that out or just wear my hair down..
so this season we will see floral prints (alot of floral), a lot of the color olive and military inspired clothing, sequence, leather and lace! Some stripes..
My favorite stores are H&M, F21, Steve Madden, and goJane.com ( they have good deals on boots) but I mostly shop at places that have cute and affordable clothes..
I rather buy more!
